This role serves as the senior technical expert for Teamcenter, translating business requirements into scalable process and system solutions that support enterprise product lifecycle management objectives.This newly created position supports enterprise PLM transformation as the organization standardizes on Siemens Teamcenter as its strategic PLM platform. The role will be one of the first internal technical hires dedicated to the initiative and will help establish the internal technical foundation for a multi-year implementation.The role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT teams to define solution architecture, integration strategies, and process improvements aligned with enterprise objectives. This position provides deep technical leadership in Teamcenter architecture, data models, workflows, integrations, and platform capabilities while guiding implementation partners and development teams through solution delivery.This is a highly collaborative individual contributor role focused on technical solution design, business process enablement, and enterprise PLM strategy execution. The individual will define architecture and technical direction while remaining technically engaged throughout implementation.Key Job ResponsibilitiesServe as the senior technical architect and primary internal subject matter expert for Siemens Teamcenter.Translate business requirements into scalable Teamcenter process, data, workflow, and integration solutions.Define end-to-end Teamcenter solution architecture, including integrations with SAP and other enterprise applications.Configure and optimize Teamcenter capabilities to support engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and product data management processes.Lead technical discovery sessions, solution workshops, and architecture reviews with business and IT stakeholders.Evaluate Teamcenter platform capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend scalable solution approaches aligned with enterprise standards.Develop functional and technical specifications, architecture diagrams, data models, and implementation guidance.Partner with implementation vendors and development teams to ensure solutions are delivered according to architectural standards and business objectives.Provide technical leadership to implementation partners, including reviewing designs, guiding integrations, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring long-term solution quality.Conduct technical feasibility assessments, proof-of-concept activities, and solution prototyping.Ensure Teamcenter solutions align with security, governance, scalability, performance, and lifecycle management standards.Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across the PLM ecosystem.Provide advanced troubleshooting and guidance for complex Teamcenter and integration issues.Help establish internal Teamcenter technical standards, knowledge, and capabilities as the PLM program expands.Stay current with Siemens Teamcenter X product roadmaps, cloud capabilities, industry trends, and emerging technologies.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.10+ years of experience designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting Siemens Teamcenter solutions.Recent, hands-on Teamcenter implementation experience.Strong Teamcenter solution architecture experience, including enterprise architecture, solution design, data models, workflows, and integrations.Deep understanding of Teamcenter configuration, BOM management, change management, and engineering processes.Experience implementing Teamcenter within a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing business processes within complex manufacturing environments.Meaningful enterprise integration experience within PLM and ERP environments. SAP integration is strongly preferred.Hands-on technical experience with Teamcenter configuration, customization, APIs, integrations, and implementation methodologies.Ability to remain technically engaged while defining architecture, reviewing designs, solving complex technical issues, and guiding implementation partners.Experience facilitating solution workshops and collaborating with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership to implementation partners and influence solution direction without direct authority.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to communicate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, global environment.Preferred QualificationsDirect Teamcenter X implementation and architecture experience.Experience with Teamcenter X SaaS architecture, upgrade strategy, and cloud operating models.Experience modernizing or migrating legacy/on-premises Teamcenter environments to cloud-based solutions.Experience integrating Teamcenter with SAP and related enterprise applications.Experience working with Siemens implementation partners and external system integrators.Experience within heavy equipment, highly engineered products, or other complex manufacturing environments.Experience helping establish or scale an internal enterprise PLM capability.Compensation depends on experience but is typically $120,000 - $181,000/yr plus 10% bonus.
