Lead / Principal Pipeline Engineer - Onshore

Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Lead / Principal Pipeline Engineer with a strong onshore pipeline design and engineering background to join a major engineering and energy project in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design and engineering of cross-country and onshore pipeline systems, with exposure to conceptual design, FEED and detailed engineering projects within the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon or infrastructure sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a team of approximately 8–15 pipeline engineers and designers.Lead the engineering and design of onshore/cross-country pipeline systems, including production pipelines, trunk lines, test lines and flow lines.Define project scope, discipline deliverables, engineering activities and work plans.Develop Basis of Design (BOD) and other key pipeline engineering documents.Prepare engineering man-hour estimates and resource requirements.Provide technical leadership and guidance to the pipeline engineering team and client representatives.Ensure technical integrity and quality of the pipeline design and engineering deliverables.Coordinate with Project Management and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.Ensure engineering deliverables are completed within schedule and budget.Review and provide technical input on pipeline layouts, routing, material selection and specifications.Lead technical discussions and presentations with clients and project stakeholders.Provide technical support during design development and resolution of engineering issues.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.15+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, energy or infrastructure projects.Strong experience in onshore pipeline design and engineering is essential.Proven experience with cross-country pipelines and transportation piping systems.Experience with ASME B31.4 and/or ASME B31.8 is highly desirable.Experience across Conceptual Design, FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.Strong knowledge of pipeline design practices, construction practices and procedures.Good knowledge of ASME, API and NFPA codes and standards.Strong understanding of pipeline routing, plot plans, equipment layouts, pipeline protection and drainage systems.Knowledge of pipeline location classification and pipeline engineering calculations, including hydraulics and surge analysis.Strong knowledge of pipeline material selection and specifications.Exposure to pipeline stress analysis is preferred.Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and engineering procedures will be an advantage.Strong English communication and technical presentation skills.Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and interact effectively with clients.Preferred Profile: Candidates with strong onshore pipeline design/engineering experience, rather than candidates whose experience is primarily in pipeline construction, operations or maintenance.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Salary: SAR 25,000 – 30,000 per monthIndustry: Oil & Gas / EnergyExperience: 15+ years
