Lead Process Engineer - Wastewater Treatment

Almasa Environmental Solutions is looking for a Lead Process Engineer to take charge of process design on our sewage treatment projects in the UAE. The work ranges from containerized MBBR and MBR package plants to large domestic STPs of 10,000 m³/day and above, designed to UAE and GCC standards.At least 5 years of professional wastewater design experience in the UAE or GCC countriesProven full design experience on large domestic sewage treatment projects of 10,000 m³/day or moreExtensive experience designing integrated containerized STPs and packaged wastewater treatment systemsTechnical capabilitiesFull command of standard domestic sewage treatment processes: pre-treatment, biological treatment, MBBR, MBR, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and sludge return and recirculation systemsAble to independently calculate the hydraulic profile, tank volumes, HRT, sludge loading, aeration rate, recirculation rate and pump selection for every process stageSkilled in designing customized containerized wastewater treatment systems, both small and largeUAE and GCC standards Full knowledge of UAE and GCC sewage inlet parameters, final discharge standards and irrigation reuse standardsFamiliar with local municipal approval rules, discharge regulations and water reuse codes in the GulfAble to prepare fully compliant technical proposals, design drawings and calculation reports for local authority submissionResponsibilitiesLead process design, hydraulic calculations, load analysis and equipment selection for all our sewage treatment projectsDesign the full layout and process flow of containerized MBBR and MBR plants, including container volumes and process arrangementWork with clients, main contractors and consultants, and deliver complete technical proposals and approval documents to Middle East standardsPrepare tender documents, technical proposals, design drawings and approval packages for clients and local authoritiesLead the design team and own the design quality and compliance of every project with UAE and GCC environmental standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Water and Wastewater Engineering, or a related fieldProficient in AutoCAD, process flow diagrams and hydraulic calculationsFamiliar with Middle East wastewater project bidding, design and authority approval proceduresAvailable for long term on site work in the UAE
