Apply & track with Apply EdgeLead Researcher – Predictive ExperienceWe’re looking for a Lead Researcher, Predictive Experience to help build a new way of understanding and anticipating customer behavior across digital experiences.This isn’t a traditional UX Research role. We’re looking for someone who can bring together behavioral research, predictive modeling, experimentation, AI, and first-party customer data to help product teams learn earlier and make better decisions before experiences go live.
What You’ll Do
Build predictive models and simulations to anticipate how customers may respond to new digital experiences.Explore synthetic customer and AI-assisted research methods to test hypotheses and experience directions earlier in the product lifecycle.Combine behavioral data with qualitative research to understand both what customers are likely to do and why.Validate predictions against real customer behavior and continuously improve models as new evidence becomes available.Design experiments and research around the biggest areas of uncertainty.Determine when predictive or synthetic evidence is strong enough to inform a decision and when live customer research or A/B testing is still needed.Partner closely with Product, Design, Analytics, Research, and Data Science teams.Translate complex models and research findings into clear recommendations for product and business leaders.What We’re Looking For:8+ years of experience across UX research, behavioral science, data science, experimentation, or related disciplines.Experience building predictive, behavioral, simulation, or decision-support models using real-world behavioral data.Strong foundation in applied statistics, experimental design, causal inference, and A/B testing.Working fluency in Python or R and SQL.Hands-on qualitative research experience and the ability to connect behavioral data with customer motivations and context.Hands-on experience using AI across research, modeling, simulation, analysis, or prototyping.Ability to clearly communicate model confidence, uncertainty, and limitations to non-technical stakeholders.Experience with digital analytics or experimentation platforms such as Quantum Metric, Amplitude, Adobe, Optimizely, or similar.Nice to Have:Experience with synthetic customers, agent-based modeling, behavioral simulation, propensity, uplift, or choice modeling.Experience with conversational AI, agentic experiences, or other AI-enabled customer experiences.Experience in high-volume digital environments such as ecommerce, marketplaces, on-demand services, travel, hospitality, home services, automotive, or complex B2B platforms.This is a senior individual contributor opportunity where you’ll have the chance to build a new capability from the ground up and influence how an organization uses research, behavioral data, experimentation, and AI to make better product decisions.
