Lead SAP Engineer

A well-established international provider of managed cloud services and technical consulting is expanding its Belgian operations. It supports organisations that depend on business-critical applications, including SAP, and is known for dependable, locally delivered technical support. To support continued growth, the company is looking for a Lead SAP Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with leadership and strong customer relationships. The role is split between hands-on technical work (roughly 50-70%) and leading the team and its customers.ResponsibilitiesOrganising and coordinating the team’s day-to-day operations and workloadCoaching and developing colleagues, including performance conversations and input on hiringActing as the main point of contact for a portfolio of customersMonitoring incidents, changes, projects and SLA performanceAdvising customers and leading escalations, both technical and organisationalSupporting business-critical SAP environments and leading upgrades, migrations and cloud projectsDriving automation, standardisation and continuous service improvementThe Ideal CandidateBachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience as an SAP Basis / SAP BC engineerHands-on experience with Linux, databases, VMware and/or cloud platformsExcellent communication skills and a customer-first mindsetAnalytical, structured and solution-orientedFluent in Dutch and English; French is an advantagePrevious team lead experience is a plus, but senior technical professionals with leadership ambitions are equally welcomeWhat Is on OfferA role within a team of experienced colleagues and a dedicated customer portfolioGrowth opportunities in an organisation investing in cloud, automation, data and AIA flat structure with short decision-making linesHybrid working, including up to two remote days per weekAn attractive package including a company car and additional benefits
