You will become the CTO's primary technical partner, helping shape the technical direction of the company while remaining deeply involved in implementation. This is intentionally a hands-on architecture role. You will design systems, review code, mentor engineers, solve difficult technical challenges and establish the engineering standards that every team follows.What You Will Be Responsible ForDesign scalable, secure and maintainable software architectures.Lead technical discovery and architecture workshops.Evaluate architectural trade-offs and justify technical decisions.Guide engineering teams through complex implementation challenges.Establish coding standards, architecture principles and engineering best practices.Review pull requests and act as the quality gate for software delivered by development teams.Mentor developers and accelerate their technical growth.Reduce technical debt while enabling rapid product delivery.Collaborate directly with the CTO on innovation initiatives and strategic technical decisions.Participate in implementation whenever the complexity requires senior expertise.Technical Expertise We ExpectSoftware engineering background with a proven portfolio of complex production systems.Strong backend engineering and API design.Distributed systems and event-driven architectures.Microservices and modular monolith design.Database architecture and performance optimisation.Authentication, authorisation and application security.Testing strategies, CI/CD principles and Git workflows.Software design patterns, SOLID, Clean Architecture and pragmatic engineering.AI Engineering Experience (Highly Desirable)Experience building production AI solutions will be considered a significant competitive advantage.
