Our work blends creativity with technical expertise to deliver world-class customerexperiences through product innovation.As a Lead Engineer in PitchBook’s Finance Platform Automation division, you’ll drive theengineering initiatives that power our Finance technology stack. You’ll ensure seamlessintegration, data integrity, and scalability across Finance, Sales, and Customer Successsystems.This role blends technical leadership with hands-on development. You’ll mentor engineers,guide architecture, and deliver automation and data solutions aligned with strategicbusiness goals. Leveraging expertise in Java, Python, workflow automation (Workato), dataplatforms (Snowflake), cloud technologies (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker), andmessaging frameworks (Kafka), you’ll build high-performance, cloud-native systems thatenhance automation and financial operations.Primary Job Responsibilities • Mentor and lead the design and development of automation solutions for Financeand Revenue platforms• Deliver scalable, maintainable code focused on performance, reliability, andsecurity• Provide architectural direction and uphold engineering best practices• Ensure the health and integration of Finance systems including Salesforce Billing,Oracle, Informatica, and Marketo• Lead initiatives to improve automation, workflow efficiency, and data consistencyacross the Finance ecosystem• Drive adoption of best practices in automation, test coverage, and cloud-nativedelivery• Partner with Product, Finance, Sales, and Data teams to translate complextechnical needs into impactful business solutions• Maintain high standards for security, performance, and estimation accuracy• Identify and remove blockers early to ensure timely, high-quality releasesSkills and Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field• 7 + years in software engineering with deep experience in integration and workflowautomation• 3 + years leading engineering teams of 5 + members• Proficiency in Java/Python or Javascript• Experience integrating Salesforce, payment portals, collection tools, and ERPsystems (Oracle)• Strong background in Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-scale architecture• Solid grasp of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills• Background in FinTech preferred• Proven experience in leveraging AI tools and frameworks to improve engineeringproductivity and delivery efficiency• Experience designing or integrating AI-driven applications to enhance automation,data insights, or user experienceMorningstar is an equal opportunity employer.
