You will own how a squad builds and ships, from architecture and API design through to delivery, reliability, and the growth of the engineers on the team. Your code will move money in production.What You Will DoLead the engineering team building and running your squad's slice of the payments platform, including services, APIs, and partner integrationsSet technical direction: architecture, API design, code for the hard parts, design reviews, and code review standardsOwn engineering delivery, working with the Product Manager on roadmap, sprint plans, and what ships whenLead and develop engineers through pairing, mentoring, regular 1:1s, and feedbackLead the squad's response to production incidentsShape how the team adopts AI tooling, setting the example for daily use of agentic coding tools across the SDLCWhat We Are Looking ForPrevious experience building production software systems end to endProven technical leadership: architecture, design reviews, mentoring, and accountability for a squad's decisionsStrong backend skills in C# / .NET preferred; Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent welcomeWorking frontend fluency with Vue.js, React, or equivalentStrong system design experience, including distributed systems and microservicesProduction AWS experience (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda) and ownership of CI/CD pipelinesPayments, FX, or regulated-industry experienceDaily use of agentic coding tools with a clear point of view on team adoptionIf you want your decisions to matter, your code to ship fast, and to lead a squad building payments infrastructure at real scale, this is worth a conversation.
