🚀 Software Technical Lead | Robotics & Advanced EngineeringAre you an experienced Software Technical Lead looking to take ownership of complex software used within advanced robotic and engineering systems?We're working with an established UK engineering organisation looking to bring an experienced Software Technical Lead into its growing engineering team.This is a senior technical position combining software architecture, technical leadership and project delivery. You'll take ownership of software across complex engineering projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to take systems from initial requirements and architecture through development, integration and delivery.📄 The OpportunityPermanent positionHybrid working – 4 days onsite / 1 day remoteWork on advanced robotics and complex engineered systemsLead technically challenging, multidisciplinary software projectsInfluence software architecture and technical direction💡 What You'll Be DoingTaking technical ownership of software delivery across complex engineering projectsDefining software architectures for integrated systemsTranslating system-level requirements into software solutionsLeading and coordinating multidisciplinary software engineering teamsWorking across embedded, application and system-level softwareEnsuring appropriate software quality, safety and engineering standardsWorking directly with customers and internal engineering stakeholdersMentoring engineers and helping improve development practices🧠 What We're Looking ForSignificant experience in Senior, Lead or Principal Software Engineering positionsStrong software architecture and system design experienceExperience technically leading software or multidisciplinary engineering teamsBroad understanding of software from embedded systems through to applicationsExperience developing system and software requirementsStrong understanding of modern software engineering practicesKnowledge of software quality, safety and secure development principlesA relevant engineering/software degree or equivalent experience💻 Technical EnvironmentYou don't need experience with everything below, but exposure to several would be useful:C++ | Python | JavaScript | Linux | Windows | Docker | TCP/IP | UDP | WebSockets | SQL | Node.js | Django. Experience with real-time systems, control software, robotics, Qt/.NET, message queues, APIs, video technologies or cyber security would also be advantageous.This could be particularly well suited to someone from an industrial, robotics, automotive, aerospace, defence, marine or other complex systems engineering environment.Interested?
