Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of modern enterprise applications. This role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, requiring expertise across both frontend and backend technologies while helping guide architectural decisions, development standards, and engineering best practices.The ideal candidate is a seasoned full-stack engineer with deep experience building scalable applications, mentoring development teams, and leveraging emerging AI technologies, including LLM-powered agents, plugins, and workflow automation solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance full-stack applications.Serve as a hands-on technical leader, contributing code across frontend and backend components while guiding engineering best practices.Develop and maintain modern web applications using Angular, React, or similar frontend frameworks, with Angular experience preferred.Design, build, and support backend services, APIs, and microservices using C#/.NET, Python, Java, Node.js, or similar technologies, with a preference for .NET.Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Drive application modernization initiatives, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and operational excellence.Build and integrate AI-powered capabilities, including AI agents, plugins, skills, copilots, and workflow automation tools that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs).Develop instruction-driven workflows, prompts, and orchestration logic that guide AI model behavior and task execution.Conduct code reviews, establish development standards, and mentor engineers across the software development lifecycle.Partner with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native deployments.Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement performance, reliability, and security improvements.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve business outcomes and engineering efficiency.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.8+ years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on enterprise application development.Proven full-stack development experience working across both frontend and backend technologies.Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar technologies, with Angular strongly preferred.Strong backend development experience using C#/.NET, Python, Java, Node.js, or similar technologies, with .NET preferred.Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and support scalable RESTful APIs, distributed services, and cloud-based applications.Experience building, configuring, implementing, or integrating AI skills, agents, plugins, copilots, or other LLM-powered solutions.Experience creating instruction-based workflows, prompt orchestration, agent frameworks, or AI-driven task automation capabilities.Strong understanding of application architecture, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and modern software development methodologies.Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar technologies.Experience building AI-enabled enterprise applications leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and agent-based architectures.Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Experience implementing automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.Prior experience serving as a technical lead, lead engineer, or software architect within an Agile environment.
