Lead Software Engineer | £75,000–£85,000 | Fully Remote | SaaSI'm working with a growing SaaS business looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a small product engineering team.This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role, combining software engineering, technical direction and people management.What you'll be doing:Leading technical direction and architectureHands-on development with C# / .NET, React & AzureBuilding and evolving a SaaS productDesigning RESTful APIs and modern cloud solutionsMentoring and managing engineersDriving engineering standards and deliveryWorking with senior stakeholders across product and technologyThe AI angleThe business has already embedded AI across its development lifecycle, using tools such as Claude and experimenting with AI agents and other emerging technologies.You'll have the opportunity to help shape how AI is used to improve engineering productivity, quality and delivery.What they're looking for:7+ years' software engineering experienceStrong .NET / C#Strong React / frontend experienceAzureSQL / Entity FrameworkCI/CD & DevOpsTechnical leadership experiencePrevious mentoring or people management experience£75k–£85k | Fully Remote UKIf you're a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead or Lead Developer looking for a role combining hands-on engineering, leadership and AI, I'd be keen to speak.
