Location: Memphis, TN preferred (with 2-3x onsite per quarter) | Hybrid within the U.S.Type: Full-TimeCompensation: $150,000–$180,000 base salaryAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on Platform Lead to take end-to-end ownership of a complex ERP platform serving the flooring and broader trade industries.This is a senior technical leadership role for someone who enjoys owning the entire system - not just one piece of it.

You’ll lead architecture and technical decision-making, take ownership of cloud infrastructure and engineering delivery, remain hands-on with development, and help shape a lean, high-performing engineering team.The platform is a large TypeScript-based monorepo with 60+ backend modules, multiple frontend applications, shared libraries, complex ERP workflows, and significant accounting and inventory functionality. Your first priority will be completing knowledge transfer from the current international contractor team and becoming the person the business relies on when the platform needs to be understood, improved, or fixed.What You’ll DoOwn the technical platform end to end, including architecture, application development, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, and technical strategyComplete knowledge transfer from the current contractor team and quickly develop deep ownership of the systemMake and drive architecture decisions across backend, frontend, infrastructure, data, and engineering standardsRemain hands-on with development, with an expected balance of approximately 50% technical contribution and 50% leadership/strategy as the role maturesLead code reviews, mentor engineers, and help build a lean domestic, nearshore, or hybrid engineering teamOwn cloud architecture in AWS or Google Cloud, along with deployment, scalability, monitoring, and operational reliabilityMaintain and improve the CI/CD pipeline, with GitLab experience strongly preferredSolve high-impact and complex platform issues across the application and infrastructure stackPartner with leadership on product priorities, technical strategy, and the platform roadmapSupport customer and operational issues when deep platform expertise is requiredLeverage AI-assisted development and automation to improve engineering productivity and enable a small team to deliver outsized resultsThe current environment includes technologies such as TypeScript, NestJS, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Sentry, and AI-assisted development workflows.What We’re Looking ForMust HaveSenior-level software engineering experience with ownership of complex, production-grade systemsStrong experience owning a platform across application architecture, infrastructure, data, deployment, and reliabilityHands-on cloud architecture experience with AWS or Google CloudExperience owning and operating a full CI/CD pipeline in a cloud environmentStrong GitLab CI/CD experience or closely comparable experienceAbility to work across backend, frontend, databases, cloud infrastructure, and DevOpsStrong architectural judgment and the ability to make decisions and execute without excessive process or handoffsExperience leading and mentoring engineers while remaining hands-on technicallyA startup or bootstrap mindset and comfort operating with limited resources and high accountabilityStrongly PreferredExperience with ERP, financial systems, accounting, inventory, supply chain, or other complex multi-module business platformsFamiliarity with double-entry accounting, ledgers, reconciliation, or financial data integrityExperience with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, or KubernetesExperience with observability and quality tooling such as Sentry, OpenTelemetry, Cypress, or similar technologiesExperience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar agentic workflowsExperience scaling or leading a small engineering teamThe Right FitYou’re likely to thrive here if you take genuine ownership, move decisively, and enjoy solving difficult problems without waiting for someone else to define every step.This is not a traditional corporate management role.
