The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, along with practical exposure to AIDLC and Generative AI-enabled software development. You will provide technical leadership, define module architecture and engineering standards, mentor engineers, and serve as a trusted technical partner for client stakeholders.Role: Senior FDELocation: Phoenix, AZExperience: 8+ yearsJob Type: Full Time EmploymentMandatory Mention 3 skills: Java & Spring BootMicroservices Architecture & REST APIsAIDLC & GenAI including GitHub Copilot, RAG, Agentic AI, and MCPWhat You'll Do: Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of a program module or major engineering workstream.Define module architecture, coding standards, engineering practices, and technical design principles.Translate ambiguous business and executive requirements into clear and actionable engineering plans.Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and pull request reviews.Design and deliver scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.Drive modernization initiatives including application, workflow, and data modernization.Promote adoption of AI Development Life Cycle (AIDLC) practices across engineering activities.Leverage GitHub Copilot and GenAI-assisted development practices to improve software engineering productivity.Design and contribute to RAG, agentic AI, context-engineering, and MCP-based integrations where applicable.Define evaluation approaches and measure developer productivity outcomes from AI-assisted engineering tools.Mentor junior and mid-level FDEs and contribute to reusable engineering assets and playbooks.Own the technical relationship with clients at the module/workstream level and lead technical reviews and demonstrations.Expertise You'll Bring: 5–8 years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Java development expertise.Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17/21, OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, functional interfaces, and Java migration patterns.Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, including dependency injection, MVC, transaction management, configuration, exception handling, ORM, security fundamentals, multiple database connections, and version upgrades.Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture, including Saga patterns, orchestration vs. choreography, API gateways, distributed data consistency, failure handling, and resilience.Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, including external API integration, timeout/fallback handling, and performance troubleshooting.Experience with Redis caching, application performance optimization, authentication/authorization, and secure configuration management.Understanding of AIDLC and how AI can accelerate different stages of the software development lifecycle.Practical understanding of Generative AI/LLM application patterns, including prompting, RAG, tool/function calling, context engineering, agentic solutions, and MCP fundamentals.Hands-on familiarity with GitHub Copilot and spec-driven AI-assisted development.Experience with engineering tools and platforms such as GitHub, Maven, PostgreSQL, Docker, Jira/Confluence, Kafka, SonarQube, and GCP.Exposure to GKE/Cloud Run, Harness, Terraform, Vertex AI, Camunda/Appian, and agentic frameworks is valuable.Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and client-facing capabilities.
