Location: London (Hybrid 2-3 days per week in office)Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 + BenefitsThe OpportunityWe're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to play a key role in shaping the technical direction of a modern product engineering team.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll remain close to the code while mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and delivering scalable digital products used by thousands of customers.You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, helping to design, build and maintain high-performance web applications using modern JavaScript and TypeScript technologies.What You'll Be Doing Leading a team of Software Engineers across multiple projects and initiatives.Architecting and delivering scalable, cloud-native applications.Writing high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability. Driving engineering best practices including testing, code reviews and CI/CD.Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers and stakeholders.Mentoring engineers and supporting their technical growth.Influencing technical strategy, architecture decisions and development standards. Helping to improve development processes and engineering culture.What We're Looking ForProven experience in a Lead or Principal Software Engineering role.Strong commercial experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience building and scaling complex web applications.Strong backend development experience using Node.js.Knowledge of cloud platforms, ideally AWS.Experience designing APIs and distributed systems.A collaborative approach with strong communication skills.Passion for mentoring and developing engineering teams.What's On OfferHybrid working model (London office 2-3 days per week).Competitive salary and bonus.Private healthcare.Enhanced pension contribution.
