This role focuses on sourcing, purchasing, and delivering materials and products in the right quantity, quality, and location, while optimizing supply chain efficiency and minimizing costs. NPI Procurement deals with New Projects inquiries from pre-RFQ stage to Business award and execution until start of serial production.RESPONSIBILITIESDeliver market intelligence, supplier insights, spend analysis, and cost benchmarking to support strategic sourcing and procurement decisions.Lead sourcing and supplier allocation activities across local, APAC, and EMEA markets to ensure competitive pricing, supply continuity, and effective risk management.Develop and execute sourcing strategies for new products by aligning technical requirements, cost targets, manufacturing technologies, supplier capabilities, and commodity strategies.Manage the end-to-end RFQ process, including supplier market assessment, bidder selection, RFQ package preparation, technical and commercial evaluations, and supplier nomination.Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers for new components, materials, and tooling, including Build/Run and Build/Transfer models.Develop and maintain should-cost models for components, assemblies, and tooling to support sourcing decisions, negotiations, cost transparency, and target-cost achievement.Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, manufacturing processes, and key cost drivers to identify cost optimization opportunities.Evaluate supplier quotations and techno-commercial proposals against should-cost models, market benchmarks, technical requirements, and business objectives.Lead commercial negotiations covering product pricing, tooling investments, payment terms, logistics, warranties, contractual obligations, and supplier commitments.Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and cost optimization initiatives while maintaining required product quality, performance, and delivery standards.Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to implement Design-to-Cost (DTC) and Design-for-Cost (DFC) initiatives, including alternative materials, manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, and design improvements.Develop and execute make-versus-buy strategies by assessing technical feasibility, manufacturing capacity, cost, quality, supply risk, and long-term business objectives.Manage procurement activities throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle, from pre-RFQ and business award through supplier nomination, project execution, and start of serial production.Track supplier readiness, project milestones, risks, and deliverables to ensure on-time execution of NPI projects.Conduct supplier technical reviews, manufacturing process assessments, and capability evaluations to validate technical feasibility, production readiness, capacity, and quality systems.Work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical deviations, evaluate alternative solutions, and align on product and manufacturing requirements.Drive supplier development and performance improvement initiatives to strengthen supplier capabilities, partnerships, and overall supply chain competitiveness.Prepare sourcing business cases covering cost analysis, supplier recommendations, risk assessments, investment requirements, and cost-benefit evaluations for leadership and sourcing committee review.Lead the sourcing approval process through established governance forums and drive implementation of approved sourcing strategies, supplier nominations, and execution plans.Support the development and execution of strategic sourcing, supplier development, and long-term commodity initiatives.EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGEGraduate Degree holder from any Engineering streamStrong analytical abilities, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.Good knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP-system.Excellent communication and partnership skills with CFTsCRITICAL EXPERIENCE10+ years working experience in Procurement or Sourcing or Supply Chain functionsSolid experience driving Cost Reduction and Data Analytics strategies & implementationExperience with SAP is highly desirable.Exposure to Data Analytical tools and Data Management would be an added advantageKnowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.MOTIVATIONAL/CULTURAL FITInnovation demeanor Problem solvingPassion for technologyResults driven
