The Learning Express values strong collaboration between teachers, children, and families to foster a positive learning community.Role Description The Lead Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position located in Warren, OH. The Lead Teacher will design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curricular goals and support the developmental needs of each child. Daily responsibilities include delivering engaging instruction, supervising children to ensure safety and well-being, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment. The Lead Teacher will observe and document student progress, communicate regularly with families and colleagues, and adjust teaching strategies based on individual learning styles. The role also involves mentoring assistant teachers, participating in staff meetings and professional development, and consistently modeling positive behavior and classroom management practices.Qualifications Ability to design and implement effective lesson plans, with strong skills in Lesson Planning and Teaching.Background in Education, with knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate instructional methods.Excellent Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members.Experience in Training and mentoring assistant teachers or support staff.Relevant degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.Prior classroom teaching experience in a preschool or daycare setting strongly beneficial.Demonstrated skills in classroom management, child supervision, and creating inclusive learning environments.Ability to comply with local childcare regulations, background checks, and health and safety standards.
