Lead Teacher

Key ResponsibilitiesTeachingDeliver Chinese language classes to children aged 3-12 in line with LingoAce's curriculum and lesson standards.Prepare lessons, mark and track student progress, and give timely feedback to students and parents.Model best teaching practice for the team through a full teaching load.Team leadership and coachingLead, coach and support a team of 6 Chinese teachers, including onboarding new hires.Conduct regular lesson observations and give structured, actionable feedback.Run team meetings and share good practice, and flag performance or conduct concerns to the Centre Manager and HR early, with documented evidence.Contribute inputs to teacher performance reviews.Curriculum and lesson qualityCheck that teachers follow the approved curriculum, lesson plans and teaching materials.Develop, review and improve teaching materials and activities for the Chinese subject.Monitor class quality and student learning outcomes, and recommend improvements.Parent engagement and conversion supportHandle parent queries and first-line escalations about lessons, progress and teacher matters.Support trial lessons, parent meetings and progress updates that help with enrolment and retention.Scheduling and centre operationsPlan and manage class schedules, teacher cover and substitutions with the Centre Manager.Keep class records, attendance and student progress data accurate and up to date.Handbook and policy alignmentUphold the Teacher Handbook and company policies, and make sure the team understands and follows them.Follow child safeguarding, data protection (PDPA) and centre safety procedures.RequirementsAt least 5 years of experience teaching Chinese, ideally in a centre, school or enrichment setting.Proven supervisory experience, such as leading, coaching or mentoring a team of teachers.A degree in Chinese Language, Education or a related field, or an equivalent teaching qualification.Experience teaching children aged 3-12.Strong command of Mandarin and English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.Confident communicating with parents, including handling concerns professionally.Eligible to work in Singapore.
