Lead Weight Control Engineer

Employment Type: Full-timeSeniority: Lead / Senior SpecialistAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Lead Weight Control Engineer to support major offshore Oil & Gas projects in the UAE.The role requires a senior specialist with extensive experience in Weight Control Reporting, weight growth management, weight forecasting and Centre of Gravity (CoG) assessment across the full project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement project Weight Control Procedures and Weight Breakdown Structures.Establish weight contingency philosophies and monitor weight growth, budgets and forecasts throughout project phases.Develop and maintain Weight Control Reports covering Concept, EPC, Loadout, Transportation, Lifting and Operating phases.Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to collect, review and validate weight and CoG data.Review MTOs, vendor data, engineering deliverables and design changes for weight impact.Evaluate CoG requirements and envelopes for lifting, transportation, installation and sensitive structures.Assess weight impacts associated with TQs, SQs and Management of Change (MOC).Support weight optimization initiatives and identify weight-limiting scenarios and NTE values.Prepare weight status, growth, forecast and weight control reports for project stakeholders.Coordinate with clients, PMC, Marine Warranty Surveyors, certifying authorities, contractors and vendors on weight-related requirements.Develop and maintain project weight databases and reporting systems.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.15+ years of experience in Offshore Oil & Gas projects (20+ years preferred)Minimum 10 years of dedicated Weight Control Reporting experience.Proven experience with fixed offshore platform jackets and topsides.Experience managing weight budgets and weight growth on major offshore projects.Experience with Brownfield projects.Exposure to offshore bridges, flare structures and modules.Strong understanding of lifting, transportation and installation requirements.Strong multidisciplinary coordination and client/interface management experience.Experience working with Oil & Gas Companies within GCC, GCC weight reporting practices is highly desirable.SoftwareMS ExcelPower BINavisworksSACSMS AccessIf you are a senior Offshore Oil & Gas Weight Control specialist with extensive experience delivering weight control and reporting across major projects, we invite you to apply with your updated CV!
