Lead Weight Control Engineer

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degreeMaster’s Degree (Not mandatory) Experience Minimum 15+ years of experience in Offshore Oil and Gas ProjectsMinimum 10+ years of dedicated experience in Weight Control Reporting activitiesExperience in developing and maintaining Weight Control Reports throughout all Project Phases from Concept to EPC and for all applicable design phases (Loadout, Transportation, Lifting, Operating phases).Experience in Fixed Offshore Platform Jacket & Topsides weight reporting; Proven experience in managing weight budgets and weight growth control on major Offshore ProjectsExperience in Brownfield ProjectsExperience in Offshore Bridges, Flare structures, ModulesStrong Inter discipline coordination, client interactions and interface management skillsJob RequirementsDevelop and implement Project Weight Control ProcedureDevelop Weight Breakdown StructureEstablish Weight Contingency philosophy as per Project phaseDevelop and implement weight growth monitoring/tracking mechanismsEvaluate CoG for all items and define CoG envelopes for designing sensitive structuresAssess Lifting, Transportation and Installation CoG requirementsCoordinate with all disciplines for weight and CoG data. Review/validate discipline weight inputs for accuracyReview various discipline deliverables (i.e., Structural MTO’s, Piping MTO’s, Vendor data, E&I layouts, HVAC layouts, Architectural drawings) and collect the weight data.Review Technical Queries (TQs), Site Queries (SQs), and Management of Change (MOC) requests for weight impact. Actively participate in Management of Change reviews and identity the weight impactsAssess various weight limiting scenarios and define NTE valuesSupport weight optimization initiativesPrepare and issue, Weight Control Repots, Weight status Reports, Weight growth Registers, Weight Forecast reportsCoordinate with Marine Warranty Surveyor on Weight related requirementsDevelop weight databases
