Apply & track with Apply EdgeTraining and Development CoordinatorJob Location: Clifton Park, NYJob Type: Full-Time, SalariedSalary Range: $70,000–$80,000 annuallyTravel: Local and regional travel, approximately 15–20% of the timePosition OverviewA well-established provider of construction and infrastructure services to the electric utilities industry is seeking a Training and Development Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of training initiatives and affiliated training programs.The organization serves a diverse group of clients, including regional electric cooperatives, renewable energy contractors, and major investor-owned utilities. Its work includes complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, detailed schedule and progress reporting requirements, and coordination among multiple subcontractors.The company's core operations include the construction, maintenance, and upgrade of electric distribution systems, substations, and transmission infrastructure. The organization has a strong regional reputation and a history of sustained organic growth.The Learning and Development Specialist will work closely with the Learning & Development Manager, operations leaders, and subject matter experts to execute training programs that support safety, compliance, employee skill development, and organizational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work for yourself and employees, and participate in required training.Support the implementation and continuous improvement of training and development programs.Partner with operations teams and subject matter experts in developing and delivering training programs.Support content development and learning solutions, including classroom, field-based, and e-learning materials.Serve as a Learning Management System (LMS) administrator, including assigning courses, tracking completion, and maintaining training records.Ensure training documentation is properly stored, linked, and incorporated into the training process.Assist with trainer coordination and development to support effective training delivery.Coordinate logistics and materials for training sessions and events, including scheduling, supplies, and participant communications.Assist with proposal development and technical training information for internal and external stakeholders as requested.Support budget tracking, documentation, and reporting related to training programs.Maintain accurate training records and assist with audits and compliance reporting.Communicate effectively with employees at all levels regarding training requirements and opportunities.Become and remain proficient in computer programs necessary to perform daily responsibilities, including Microsoft Office.Perform other duties as assigned by the Learning & Development Manager.Position RequirementsBachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience.Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, field-focused environment.Comfort working with learning technologies and training platforms.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting training programs in construction, utilities, infrastructure, or an industrial environment.Familiarity with multiple training methods, including on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning.Experience assisting with training needs assessments and program evaluation.Experience with or exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS).Professional certification or progress toward a certification such as Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), PHR, or SHRM-CP.
