Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for a Learning and Development Manager (Retail), based in Singapore, to lead Starbucks Singapore’s retail learning and development strategy and enable store partners (employees) and leaders to build the capabilities needed to deliver operational excellence and the Starbucks Experience.This role leads the organisation’s learning culture by identifying training needs, designing and implementing learning strategies, managing retail training frameworks, overseeing learning systems and partnering cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure learning initiatives are relevant, engaging and effectively delivered across stores.Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:Learning Strategy & Programme DesignModel our Mission and Values and engage learners through a shared vision, compelling stories and learning experiences.Set goals for the L&D team and develop learning strategies and programmes aligned with business needs and priorities.Design and implement training plans to ensure store partners and leaders have the competencies required to excel in their roles.Design workshops, e-learning courses and other learning materials, reviewing and updating content to ensure alignment with operating processes, procedures and systems.Oversee the retail training framework, including training delivery standards, certification requirements and learning effectiveness measures.Ensure partners adhere to legal, operational and learning compliance requirements.Stakeholder Partnership & Business AlignmentPartner with Operations, retail leaders and cross-functional teams to identify learning needs and align capability-building initiatives with business priorities.Advise stakeholders on training implications of business decisions and communicate changes to policies, practices and learning initiatives.Learning Systems, Resources & AdministrationManage Workday Learning Management System processes to ensure a smooth learning experience for partners and timely updates of training records.Manage the digital learning library to ensure courses and resources remain current, relevant and accessible.Oversee training budgets, vendor relationships and contracts with training providers.Team Leadership & People DevelopmentDevelop strategic and operational plans for the L&D work group, manage execution and measure results.Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team promotes confidence in leadership, teamwork and strong business results.Coach, guide and develop team members by providing feedback, developmental opportunities and support for effective functional teamwork.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesRequired: Hold ACTA or ACLP certification.Relevant experience leading learning and development, preferably in retail, hospitality or a fast-paced service environment.Strong facilitation, verbal and written communication skills.Highly organised, with strong prioritisation and project management skills to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.Strategic and commercially minded to develop business plans, provide sound recommendations and influence stakeholders.People-focused and development-oriented, with experience coaching, mentoring and managing team performance effectively.Creative and adaptable, with the ability to localise existing learning materials into engaging and effective learning experiences.Proactive, collaborative and able to leverage internal and external resources to deliver learning outcomes.Working knowledge of Workday Learning Management System, e-learning authoring tools (eg.
