You will spend significant time in the field, working alongside teams to understand what is working well, where performance can improve and whether the solution sits within training, leadership, process, standards or capability.You will initially lead a team two, with the wider training team expected to grow as the business expands. You will work closely with Head of People, as well as senior Operations leaders across the business.The role will support company-owned sites alongside international growth and franchise partners, so there will also be regular opportunities for international travel, including to the US.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and implement the Learning & Development strategy across the businessDesign and create engaging learning content and programmesDeliver training across multiple sites and teamsWork closely with Operations to identify performance and capability gapsSupport managers and teams in embedding high operational standardsMeasure the effectiveness of learning initiatives and demonstrate return on investmentLead, coach and develop the existing training teamSupport learning requirements linked to new openings, international growth and franchise partnersBuild scalable L&D processes and programmes that can grow with the businessPartner with senior stakeholders to ensure learning remains commercially relevant and operationally effectiveAbout youWe are looking for someone with strong hospitality experience, ideally gained within high standard restaurants or cafe environment.You will have experience of building learning programmes rather than simply delivering existing training, and you will be comfortable working from strategy through to hands-on implementation.You should also bring:Strong Learning & Development experience within branded restaurant operationsA good understanding of how to measure training effectiveness and return on investmentExperience creating learning content and programmesStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsConfidence working closely with senior Operations teamsA practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support teams on the groundStrong commercial awarenessHigh standards and attention to detailThe ability to make decisions, take ownership and work effectively in a fast-moving environmentThis is an excellent opportunity for someone ambitious who wants to build a Learning & Development function, make a visible impact across the business and grow with the company.There is a clear opportunity for the successful person to develop towards a Head of Learning & Development role as the business continues to expand.
