This is a varied role combining learning and development strategy with programme design, delivery and the day-to-day administration needed to provide a consistent development experience across the firm.The role will have a particular focus initially on establishing dependable learning systems, plans and course administration, while also taking responsibility for wider learning initiatives across the business.It's a hands-on position covering early careers, internal progression, leadership and professional skills development, compliance and regulatory learning, digital learning and the ongoing evaluation of development programmes.Responsibilities include:Developing and delivering the firm's learning and development strategyWorking closely with departments and managers to understand learning and development needsDeveloping learning plans and programmes across the firmSupporting early careers programmes and internal progressionDesigning and delivering leadership and professional skills developmentCoordinating compliance, regulatory and digital learningManaging course administration, bookings, communications and learner recordsSupporting colleagues and managers throughout the learning processEvaluating learning activity and using feedback to improve future programmesMonitoring participation and maintaining accurate learning recordsWorking collaboratively with the wider HR team on people and development initiativesProviding general learning and development support across the firm as requiredWhat we need from you:Previous experience in a learning and development role, ideally within a professional services environmentExperience of designing, coordinating and delivering learning programmesGood organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple programmes and deadlinesConfident working with managers and colleagues at different levels of an organisationComfortable facilitating training and presenting to groupsStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate learning recordsA practical approach to identifying learning needs and developing appropriate solutionsComfortable using Microsoft Office and learning management or similar systemsAble to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of an HR teamExperience of working within a regulated or professional environment would be usefulThe perks:Salary up to £53,000, depending on experienceFull-time, permanent roleHybrid/agile workingPrivate health insuranceGroup life assurance of up to 3x salaryPersonal pension plan with employer contributions of up to 4%Competitive holiday allowance with the option to buy and sell additional daysDiscounted legal fees following one year's employmentEmployee assistance programme with 24/7 access to mental health support12-month Meditopia membershipAccess to YuLife wellbeing and lifestyle benefitsAnnual summer and Christmas social eventsPaid time each year for volunteering and CSR activitiesSalary-sacrifice electric vehicle schemeThe firm places a strong emphasis on learning, development and internal progression, making this a good opportunity for an L&D professional who wants to take ownership of learning across an organisation rather than simply coordinate individual courses.Interested?Apply today or contact Jack Lloyd at Jack.Lloyd@Oculuslegalgroup.com for a confidential conversation.
