We InPwr people through personal commitment, relentless dedication, and driving results together.Come Join our Team!Summary:The Learning & Development (L&D) Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging training content, learning programs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that support employee performance, engagement, and professional growth. This role partners closely with Learning & Development leadership, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and cross-functional teams to create instructor-led, blended, and eLearning solutions while driving SOP creation, adoption, and continuous improvement throughout the organizationLocation: Indianapolis, Indiana (Onsite)Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 100% company paid for employeesPaid vacation & holidays401(k) company match30-day paid sabbatical every 5 years of employmentStable employment with a growing companyHighly competitive salaryQualifications:Experience in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Technical Writing, Training Development, or a related field.Working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, SMEs, and business stakeholders.Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Positive, proactive, and customer-service-oriented mindset.Interest in learning and supporting operational business processes and proceduresTechnology and ToolseLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), Camtasia, Vyond, and similar learning content development platformsLearning Management Systems (LMS)SharePoint and OneNoteMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Canva, Clipchamp, and SnagItAI-powered content development tools and technologieEssential Job Functions: Day-to-day tasks include, but not limited to the following:Design, develop, and update instructor-led, blended learning, and eLearning training materials.Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and translate complex concepts into effective learning experiences.Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reference documents, forms, and process documentation.Develop job aids, visual aids, presentations, videos, and other training resourcesCoordinate with department leaders, SMEs, and senior stakeholders to gather information, obtain documentation, and ensure project timelines are met.Proactively follow up with business partners and stakeholders to collect outstanding content, secure approvals, and drive training and SOP initiatives to completion.Schedule and facilitate meetings related to SOP development, review, and approval processes.Maintain SOP trackers, SharePoint repositories, and document control processes.Identify process improvement opportunities, documentation gaps, and operational efficiencies.Support organizational learning initiatives and promote the adoption and utilization of training resources and SOPs.Working/ Environment/ Physical Demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
