Ideal candidates will have two or more years of experience in instructional design, corporate learning, training content development, education, enablement, or a related field, preferably in client-facing learning, consulting, implementation, or professional-services roles developing content for regulated or operationally complex industries.The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) is a client-facing role that uses instructional design and content-development expertise to support training projects. Working with senior team members, project managers, subject-matter experts, and clients, the LXD develops high-quality learning materials for instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital programs. The role focuses mainly on training services while building familiarity with Unboxed's Skill Building Platform.Key ResponsibilitiesLearning Design and DevelopmentDesign and develop learning solutions applying adult-learning principles and digital-first design practices to create innovative and effective blended learning experiencesTranslate learning objectives, content outlines, and subject-matter-expert input into clear, accurate, and visually effective learning materialsUse established templates, design standards, and AI driven content-development processes to ensure deliverables are consistent and high qualityIncorporate stakeholder feedback while helping maintain alignment to learning objectives, design standards, scope, and project requirementsSupport learning evaluation, including the development of assessments, surveys, feedback mechanisms, or other measures of learner response and performanceClient and Stakeholder SupportParticipate in client-facing meetings, discovery sessions, design reviews, and working sessions with appropriate support from senior team membersAssist with needs analysis by gathering, organizing, and documenting information about learners, business needs, performance gaps, and desired outcomesCommunicate professionally and consultatively with clients, SMEs, and internal stakeholdersTranslate client needs into clear solution recommendations and help define what is in and out of scopeRecognize when a training request involves organizational change and apply foundational change management thinking to learning design decisionsProject Delivery and QualityExecute assigned project tasks reliably and independently, meeting established deadlines, quality expectations, and delivery and scope requirementsMaintain accurate project documentation, including content inventories, design documents, review logs, version-control records, and task status updatesIdentify potential risks, content gaps, timeline concerns, or dependency issues and escalate them to the appropriate project leadConduct self-review and peer-review activities to ensure deliverables meet quality, accessibility, brand, and usability standardsCollaborate effectively with project managers, LXDs, Senior LXDs, Lead LXDs, creative partners, product teams, and client stakeholdersShare observations and ideas that may improve learning assets, development workflows, or templates, and support team delivery improvement as opportunities ariseLearning Technology and Skill Building Platform AwarenessBuild foundational knowledge of the Unboxed Skill Building Platform including content deployment, basic configuration, user roles, and learner experience considerationsSupport the development of learning solutions that incorporate both training services and learning technologyDevelop awareness of the learning analytics and data the platform captures, including how to access basic reports to support project documentation and client conversationsApply established design frameworks for Skill Building Platform solutions with the guidance of senior team membersStay informed about emerging learning practices, instructional technologies, and digital-content approaches that may improve learning outcomesIndustry KnowledgeBuild proficiency in at least one target industry vertical, such as Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Hospitality developing the ability to speak credibly about business context, workflows, and key challenges relevant to client training needsBuild awareness of relevant operational, regulatory, and compliance considerations that affect training content and delivery, as well as learner needsApply industry and client context when designing learning materials and making content recommendationsResearch assigned topics and synthesize information into clear, audience-appropriate learning contentKey SkillsStrong writing, editing, communication, organization, project-management, and attention-to-detail skillsStrong time management and prioritization skills, including an ability to manage multiple priorities, incorporate feedback, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, client-service environmentConsultative communication skills, including active listening, tailoring messages to different audiences (e.g., subject-matter experts, project sponsors, end learners), and producing clear and concise written communications for clients and stakeholdersAbility to build rapport and trust with clients or stakeholders, even in a supporting capacityRequirementsBachelor's degree in instructional design, learning and development, education, communications, organizational development, or a related fieldTwo or more years of experience in instructional design, corporate learning, training content development, education, enablement, or a related fieldA demonstrated pattern of taking on increasing responsibility quickly in prior rolesDemonstrated ability to design and develop learning materials for instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended, and performance-support formatsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agency-style environment, balancing multiple workstreams to deliver all with excellenceWorking knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation practicesExperience using learning-content authoring, presentation, visual design, video, collaboration, and other content-development tools; experience with LMS/LXP platforms is preferredPreferred experience supporting client-facing learning, consulting, implementation, or professional-services projects; developing content for regulated or operationally complex industries; applying
