The school focuses on skills acquisition, knowledge, and understanding, preparing students as confident, lifelong learners and global citizens.Role DescriptionThis full-time, on-site Learning Support Assistant role is based in Singapore and focuses on Primary learners with a particular emphasis on phonics. The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with classroom teachers to support the delivery of phonics and early literacy lessons, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and help differentiate activities to meet varied learning needs. The role includes preparing learning materials, assisting with classroom organization, and supporting children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development in line with school policies. The Learning Support Assistant will contribute to a safe, nurturing environment, monitor student progress, communicate observations to teachers, and collaborate with colleagues and families as needed.QualificationsCandidates should possess skills in Assistant Teaching, including supporting lesson delivery, working with individual and/or small groups, and reinforcing phonics and early literacy learning.Candidates should demonstrate strong Safeguarding and Safeguarding Children skills, with a clear understanding of child protection procedures and commitment to student wellbeing.Candidates should have well-developed Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to collaborate effectively with children, colleagues, and families.Relevant experience working with Early Years or primary-aged children in an educational setting is beneficial.Qualifications in education, early childhood, or a related field are preferred.Knowledge of a variety of learning and behaviour interventions is preferred. Ability to follow teacher guidance, use initiative, and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment is essential.Familiarity with phonics-based programs and international school contexts is an advantage.
