Job Description

The Lease Operator/Pumper is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities and lease locations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant production operations while maximizing well performance and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

Monitor and operate oil and gas wells, tank batteries, and production equipment on assigned lease locationsPerform daily inspections of wells, pumping units, separators, tanks, and associated equipmentRecord and report daily production volumes, pressures, and equipment readingsAdjust well operations to optimize production and maintain target parametersPerform routine maintenance tasks including lubrication, minor repairs, and equipment adjustmentsMonitor and maintain chemical treatment programs for wells and facilitiesGauge tanks and coordinate with transport/pipeline operations for product movementRespond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situationsEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate records and complete required reports and documentationIdentify and report equipment malfunctions or abnormal conditionsConduct leak detection and repair activitiesMaintain housekeeping standards at lease locationsSkills and Qualifications:3 years minimum experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionBasic computer skills for data entry and reportingAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, and perform manual laborWillingness to work on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergenciesStrong attention to detail and safety awarenessGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenRole Details:Location: Carrizo Springs, Texas / Laredo, TexasCandidates must reside within 1.5 hours of either locationSchedule: 8/6 rotationPay: $26.00-$32.00
