Leather Restoration TechnicianJob description — paste this into LinkedInThe Refined Luxury is looking for an experienced Leather Restoration Technician to join our Dubai workshop.We specialise in the professional cleaning, restoration and colour restoration of luxury handbags, shoes and leather goods, including exotic skins.We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in leather colour restoration, colour matching and leather cleaning, who understands how different leather types and finishes need to be treated.Key responsibilitiesProfessional cleaning and conditioning of leather goodsColour restoration and recolouring of leatherColour mixing and precise colour matchingPreparation and application of leather dyes, paints and finishesRestoration of faded, scratched, stained and worn leatherCleaning and restoration of exotic skins, including crocodile, alligator, python and other delicate materialsEdge, corner and surface restorationIdentifying different leather types and finishes and selecting the appropriate treatmentPreparing items before restoration and ensuring a professional finishMaintaining a clean, organised and professional workshopAssessing the condition of luxury items before treatmentDocumenting restoration work through before-and-after photographyWhat we're looking forPrevious professional experience in leather restoration or leather repairStrong experience with colour matching and colour mixingPractical experience with leather paints, dyes, finishes and restoration productsExperience cleaning and working with exotic leather/skinsExcellent attention to detailStrong understanding of different leather types and finishesSteady hand and high level of craftsmanshipAbility to work independently and consistently to a high standardExperience working with luxury handbags or footwear is highly desirableAdvantageous experienceExperience working with luxury brands such as Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Prada or similar luxury houses would be an advantage.Experience with airbrush/spray application, leather painting and colour formulation is also highly valued.The role
