The role is expected to demonstrate strong subject-matter knowledge and effective pedagogy while contributing to course development, academic quality and the School's educational community. Lecturers may also contribute to applied research, pedagogical scholarship, case development and external engagement consistent with their expertise and the School's priorities.Key Responsibilities:Teaching & LearningDesign, develop and deliver high-quality graduate-level courses, modules and learning activities consistent with ASB's academic standards and distinctive pedagogy.Deliver engaging lectures, discussions, workshops and other learning experiences that promote critical thinking, application and student participation.Maintain rigorous, current and practically relevant course content, incorporating appropriate Asian, emerging-market and global perspectives.Teach effectively across classroom, online and blended delivery formats as assigned.Contribute to course coordination, curriculum development and continuous improvement of ASB's academic programmes.Contribute, where appropriate, to Executive Education and other ASB learning programmes.Assessment & Student LearningDesign appropriate assignments, examinations, projects, presentations and other methods of assessing student learning.Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback that supports continuous improvement.Monitor student learning and provide academic guidance, office hours or other support as appropriate.Apply academic policies and standards consistently and refer significant academic integrity or student-progress matters through appropriate School processes.Student Development & MentorshipAdvise and mentor students on academic, professional and career-related matters within the scope of the role.Advise or support Action Learning, experiential projects and other student learning activities where assigned.Support students' development by providing relevant disciplinary, professional and learning resources.Pedagogical & Intellectual ContributionContribute to the development of cases, teaching materials, simulations and other pedagogical resources.Stay current with relevant disciplinary developments, business practices, pedagogical approaches and instructional technologies.Engage in pedagogical scholarship, applied research, case development or other intellectual contributions appropriate to the role.Share effective teaching practices and contribute to pedagogical innovation within the faculty.Institutional Service & Academic QualityParticipate in faculty committees, admissions, programme activities, accreditation and other School initiatives as assigned.Contribute to curriculum review, academic quality assurance and continuous improvement.Maintain appropriate course documentation and support compliance with relevant MQA, AACSB and School requirements.Collaborate collegially with Faculty, Instructors, Academic Managers, programme teams and other stakeholders to enhance programme quality and student experience.External EngagementDevelop appropriate relationships with academic, industry, government and other external stakeholders relevant to the Lecturer's area of expertise.Contribute to external-facing academic activities, events and partnerships where appropriate.Support ASB's reputation and visibility through educational, professional and public engagement.Required Skills & CompetenciesExcellent teaching, facilitation, communication, writing and interpersonal skills.Strong disciplinary or professional knowledge relevant to ASB's academic programmes.Ability to design engaging learning experiences and communicate complex concepts clearly.Ability to work effectively and collegially with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders.Strong understanding of business, management and societal issues relevant to Asia and emerging markets.Commitment to academic excellence, integrity, inclusion and ASB's institutional mission.Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively in a dynamic, internationally oriented academic environment.Qualifications & ExperienceMaster's degree or equivalent advanced qualification in a relevant discipline from an appropriately accredited institution; a PhD or equivalent terminal degree is preferred.Relevant experience in higher education teaching, professional education or a closely related environment.Demonstrated capability or strong potential for high-quality graduate-level teaching and student engagement.Strong disciplinary or professional expertise relevant to ASB's programmes.Evidence of curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, applied scholarship, research or relevant professional contributions is desirable.Experience with classroom, online or blended teaching is desirable.General ExpectationsDemonstrate and uphold ASB's values, academic standards and professional expectations.Undertake other reasonable academic and institutional responsibilities consistent with the faculty member's role and expertise.Specific teaching loads, course assignments, administrative appointments and workload arrangements are governed separately by the School's faculty workload and related policies.
