As a dynamic and innovative group of education providers, we offer programmes that equip students, apprentices, and trainees with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary for success in their chosen fields.We are actively searching for a Study Skills Lecturer to join our team in San Ġiljan, Malta (On-site):What We Expect from You ?Designing/documenting bespoke courses, digital resources, workshop plans and individual schemes of work as required to develop study skills in the curriculaDelivering/evaluating teaching and identifying areas for potential improvement to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and overall student experienceProviding feedback on individual and class progress in their understanding of academic writing and other relevant study skillsProviding tutorial consultations with students, constructive comments individual to each student's need, explaining where work fails to meet assessment criteria and suggesting ways to improve their work / working practicesRecording details from these appointments for statistical, evaluation and quality purposes, and to refer students to other services as appropriateEffectively engaging with VLE and research resources and facilitate students’ learning by means of engagement with online resources and activities.Contributing to GBS quality assurance systems and processesWhat Experience will You Bring to the Role?Hold a Master’s degree in relevant subject area.Have previous HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.Have successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds on HE programmes.Have proven experience of providing individual and group study skills support in response to identified learning needs.Willing to lead a specific area of literacy development, such as reading, writing, critical thinking, numeracy, digital skills, research skills (quantitative or qualitative), project and dissertation support, peer-assisted learning.Able to demonstrate a high level of digital literacy and advanced communication skills.DesiredExpertise in digital educational resources development, course design and curriculum developmentDELTA/CELTA qualificationSome experience teaching topics relevant to the disciplines we deliver at GBS, in areas such as: Healthcare, Business, and Computing/IT.Ready to be part of this journey?
