Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments, evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback and academic mentoring. The role involves guiding students in projects, workshops, and practical sessions, ensuring that safety and quality standards are consistently met. The lecturer will participate in curriculum development, internal assessments, academic meetings, and institutional initiatives to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role based at St. Mary’s Polytechnic College in Palghat.QualificationsStrong knowledge of fundamental Mechanical Engineering subjects (e.g., Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Manufacturing Processes).Ability to design and deliver clear, structured lessons and laboratory sessions using appropriate teaching methods and learning resources.Proficiency in preparing question papers, evaluating assignments and exams, and maintaining accurate academic records.Skill in guiding student projects, practical work, and skill-development activities, with attention to safety and quality.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate diverse learners.Comfort with basic educational technologies, presentation tools, and productivity software used in teaching and evaluation.Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution; eligibility as per applicable regulatory and accreditation norms.Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and participation in institutional initiatives, seminars, and training programs.
