BISEB School of Economics and Business at the European Humanities University is looking for a lecturer or course instructor to teach quantitative courses in the undergraduate Business Economics programme.We are looking for a colleague, or colleagues, for two required courses:Statistics — 48 contact hours, Autumn semester;Econometrics — 128 contact hours, Autumn and Spring semesters.The programme is delivered on campus in Vilnius. Language of instruction: English.Level: undergraduate / Bachelor’s programme.Academic year: 2026/2027.Format of cooperation and administrative details to be discussed individually.These courses are designed as an applied quantitative track for students in Business Economics. The focus is not only on theory, but also on statistical thinking, empirical analysis, real-world data, model building and interpretation, forecasting, critical assessment of research results, and clear communication of quantitative findings.For Statistics, the course covers descriptive statistics, probability, distributions, correlation and regression, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing,socio-economic dynamics, macroeconomic statistics, and an empirical project.For Econometrics, the course covers regression analysis, OLS inference, violations of classical assumptions, causality and omitted variable bias, time series, unit-root tests, cointegration and error-correction models, forecasting, limited dependent variable models, panel data models.We would especially welcome candidates with:- a strong background in statistics, econometrics, economics, data analysis, or a related field;- experience teaching quantitative methods to undergraduate students;hands-on experience with real-world data: empirical research, econometric modelling, forecasting, and evaluation of business and economic effects using R, Python, Stata, or similar tools;- the ability to explain complex quantitative methods clearly, practically, and in connection with economics, business, finance, and analytics.If you are interested in this opportunity, or if you can recommend someone suitable, please contact us at economics@ehu.lt at your earliest convenience.
