The institution is committed to strengthening human resource quality and capability in STEM-related disciplines through innovative teaching, research, and community engagement.Role Description The Lecturer (S3) (Dosen Homebase/Tetap) in Visual Communication Design (DKV) is a full-time, on-site role based at Institut Teknologi Batam in Batam. The lecturer will design and deliver undergraduate courses in visual communication design, ensuring that learning materials, assignments, and assessments align with program and institutional standards. Responsibilities include supervising student projects and theses, providing academic advising, and supporting student development in creative and applied design fields. The role also involves conducting research in relevant areas of design and visual communication, publishing scholarly work, and seeking opportunities for collaboration and community service. The lecturer is expected to contribute to curriculum development, participate in academic committees, and support accreditation and quality assurance processes.QualificationsCompleted doctoral degree (S3) in Visual Communication Design, Design, Communication, or a closely related field.Demonstrated teaching ability in visual communication design, including experience developing syllabi, learning materials, and assessment methods.Strong portfolio and expertise in areas such as graphic design, branding, digital media, illustration, UI/UX, or motion graphics.Proven research track record, including publications in reputable journals or conferences, and interest in advancing scholarship in design and visual communication.Ability to integrate industry-relevant practices and digital tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design software) into teaching and learning activities.Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and foster an inclusive academic environment.Willingness to participate in community service, institutional development, and interdisciplinary collaboration in STEM and creative fields.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities in a full-time on-site role.Previous higher education teaching experience and familiarity with Indonesian higher education regulations and accreditation processes are highly beneficial.
