New York, NY | Full-Time, On-SiteSalary: $45,000–$50,000 per yearFlagship Law LLC, a growing immigration law firm in New York City, is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and client-focused Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team.This is a client-facing role that requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership of an important function within the Firm. The Legal Assistant will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients, manage intake and follow-up, support the Firm’s administrative operations, and assist attorneys and paralegals with legal matters.We are looking for someone who is proactive, responsive, professional, and able to follow matters through to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming calls and serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients.Conduct preliminary client intake and gather relevant information for attorney review.Schedule consultations and coordinate calendars.Consistently follow up with prospective clients after inquiries and consultations.Assist with client onboarding, engagement documentation, payment follow-up, and collection of information and documents.Maintain accurate client and prospective-client records and ensure that outstanding items are followed through to completion.Manage routine client communications and appropriately escalate substantive legal questions to attorneys.Assist with general law firm administration, including correspondence, mail, document management, records, scheduling, vendors, and office-related matters.Assist with billing and other administrative processes as needed.Open, organize, and maintain electronic client matters.Assist attorneys and paralegals with immigration forms, filing preparation, document collection, case organization, and other legal-support tasks.Proofread correspondence and documents for accuracy and professionalism.Help improve and maintain efficient intake, administrative, and client-service processes.What We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will:Be highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow matters through without repeated reminders.Be comfortable speaking with clients and prospective clients throughout the day by telephone and email.Have strong written and verbal communication skills.Be able to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Exercise good judgment regarding when a matter can be handled independently and when it should be escalated to an attorney.Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and strong client-service instincts.Be comfortable working in a growing small-firm environment where initiative and accountability are highly valued.Prior experience in a law firm, legal assistant position, client intake, professional services, office administration, or a similar client-facing role is strongly preferred. Immigration-law experience is helpful but not required. Spanish or another additional language is a plus.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $45,000–$50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.Full-time, on-site position in New York City.
