Apply & track with Apply EdgeA Legal advisor is a junior legal practitioner and administrative support function of the legal team. This role includes certain legal tasks and services, such as undertaking legal research, preparing and negotiating legal documents, KYC and due diligence functions and giving some basic legal advice. The role also includes overseeing the management, organization, and integrity of legal documents within the Legal Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal documentation, compliance, and project management, ensuring that all documents are accurate, accessible, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.Responsibilities Assisting with key projects assigned to them by the Legal Director.Completing various tasks to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and priorities.Maintaining proper corporate interactions with the relevant local, regional and international governmental bodies, legislatures and the community at large.Demonstrating competency in undertaking all forms of administrative support functions; andPerforming all tasks to a high standard assigned to them by the senior members of the legal team.Develop and implement systems for organizing, storing, and retrieving legal documents, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Create and update documentation policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with legal standards.Work closely with other staff to gather necessary documentation and provide support for legal processes.Support team members in document management with the best practices and the use of document management systems.Ensure proper retention and destruction of legal documents in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.Assist in preparing for audits by maintaining organized and accessible records.Stay up to date with legal technology trends, evaluating and implementing new document management tools as needed.ExperienceBachelor's degree in law or other basic legal qualification or extensive legal experience without obtaining such qualifications.2-6+ years. A Paralegal will have experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, where they have held roles of increasing responsibility, as legal manager, junior Paralegal, Paralegal and/or senior Paralegal.Proven experience as a junior member of a legal team, preferably in a similar industry or organization.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.Proficiency in drafting and document management.Strong ability to support the senior members of the legal team and anticipate project requirements.Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to document management.Proficient in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
