Apply & track with Apply EdgeKey Responsibilities / Daily DutiesConduct comprehensive legal research on laws, legislation, and regulations relevant to the academic and education sector.Analyze applicable laws, legislation, and regulations to assess their impact on the Academy’s activities and operations.Review and prepare periodic reports on relevant legal and regulatory developments.Identify appropriate legal solutions to legal matters based on the analysis of relevant information and applicable legislation.Analyze information and documentation required for the preparation of legal pleadings and submissions to senior management and relevant authorities.Provide legal support to concerned organizational units in drafting internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and mitigate potential legal liabilities.Participate in workshops and meetings related to the development and review of internal policies and procedures.Review contracts, agreements, and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to ensure the inclusion of appropriate provisions that mitigate potential legal risks and protect the Academy’s rights and interests.Prepare, review, and update legal documents and records, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and validity of the information contained therein.Gather and analyze relevant information to support the development of internal policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Provide legal clarifications and respond to legal inquiries to ensure stakeholders receive accurate and up-to-date legal information regarding their rights, obligations, and applicable requirements.Monitor updates and amendments to relevant laws, legislation, and regulations on an ongoing basis.Perform any additional duties assigned by the direct manager that fall within the scope of the role.Qualifications and CertificationsBachelor’s degree in law or a related field.Professional Experience3–5 years of professional experience in legal affairs, preferably within the education sector or an academic institution.Previous experience in legal research and legal studies within the academic or education sector, preferably with reputable or well-established organizations.
