Legal and Compliance Officer

Eden Rose is currently engaged with a financial institution based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) who are seeking a Legal & Compliance Analyst to join their team.Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the company operates within the legal and regulatory framework while also providing strategic legal support to the business. This dual-function role requires a professional who can balance both legal advisory and compliance oversight responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Legal:Provide legal advice on contracts, agreements, and business transactions.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents.Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies.Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business.Support dispute resolution, litigation, or arbitration matters when required.Compliance:Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits.Train and educate employees on compliance requirements and ethical standards.Act as the point of contact for regulatory authorities and manage inspections or audits.Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required.The Legal & Compliance Specialist will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; Master’s degree or additional compliance certification (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) is an advantage. You will have proven experience in compliance and legal advisory roles (ideally 5+ years), and have a strong knowledge of local and international regulatory requirements. You will have excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations to business operations.This is an excellent opportunity with a growing DIFC Financial Institution.
