We are building a sophisticated, selective practice centered on excellent lawyering, meticulous preparation, personal client service, and meaningful results.About the RoleMinsky Law is seeking an Executive Legal Assistant to work directly alongside Matthew Minsky in both the advancement of active cases and the operation and growth of the firm.This is not a traditional administrative role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of responsibilities, exercise sound judgment, anticipate what needs to be done, and keep matters moving without being constantly directed.The ideal candidate will be organized, intellectually curious, highly dependable, and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can change quickly. You should be someone who sees a problem and begins working toward the solution.Core ResponsibilitiesConduct client intake calls and assist with screening and evaluating prospective mattersCollect and organize information and documentation from prospective and existing clientsRequest, obtain, and track medical records, bills, liens, and related documentation from providers, hospitals, insurers, and lienholdersFile documents with the CourtMaintain complete, accurate, and well-organized electronic case filesManage and maintain matters within the firm's case management system, FilevineAssist with case preparation, including organizing documents, information, and deadlinesCommunicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, records custodians, lienholders, and other third partiesProvide executive support to the attorney, including calendar management, correspondence, scheduling, and prioritizationMonitor matters for outstanding items, approaching deadlines, and potential issuesIdentify gaps or problems proactively and take steps to address themAssist with the day-to-day operation and development of the firm as it growsWhat We Are Looking ForExperience and legal knowledge are important, but they are not what ultimately distinguish an exceptional candidate.We are looking for someone who:Thinks critically. When faced with an unfamiliar issue, you investigate it, develop an understanding of the problem, and propose a path forward.Has exceptional attention to detail. Small mistakes matter, particularly in litigation.Follows through. If you say something will get done, it gets done.Works independently. You can manage your responsibilities without constant supervision.Communicates clearly. Your written and verbal communication is clear and professional.Stays composed under pressure. Litigation can be demanding. Prior to law school, Matthew earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Penn State.Today, Matthew is building Minsky Law with a clear long-term vision: a selective, sophisticated litigation practice known for exceptional preparation, strategic thinking, relentless advocacy, and results.
