As part of our growing team, you’ll be contributing to an initiative shaping the new legal tech landscape in the EU.ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Legal Assistant to support the administrative backbone of our ODR processes. The Legal Assistant will support ADROIT’s dispute resolution team by assisting with legal research, drafting, and preparing legal and administrative documents related to online platform disputes. Day-to-day tasks include organizing case files, maintaining accurate records, managing correspondence with parties and stakeholders, and coordinating schedules and deadlines for mediators and legal professionals. The role involves reviewing submissions from platform providers and service recipients, preparing summaries, and ensuring documentation meets regulatory and internal standards.The Legal Assistant will also help with internal process improvements, contribute to clear communication materials for clients, and support compliance with Digital Services Act requirements. This is a full-time role based in St. Julian's, with regular on-site work combined with some work-from-home flexibility.This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and curious about digital governance and new EU regulations — legal degree not a must!QualificationsExcellent organizational skills, precision and a keen eye for detail Proficiency in Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing contracts, case files, and procedural documents.Effective Communication skills in english, both written and verbal, other European languages are a plus.Experience in Administrative Assistance, including scheduling, record-keeping, data entry, and general office support.High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.Proficiency with standard office software and document management tools; experience with digital case management systems is an asset.Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Ability to work collaborativelyand independently in a multicultural environment with a partly remote/distributed team Interest in the DSA, digital policy, consumer rightsWork permit for Malta/EUWhat we offer: Flexible work arrangements (remote/hybrid, part-time or full-time) Insight into cutting-edge EU digital regulation and policy implementation Opportunity to work with an international and interdisciplinary teamSupportive environment that values innovation, transparency, and human rightsPossibility to grow into a more senior operational or legal/adjudicator (with law degree) role
