Legal AssistantDetroit Metropolitan Area, MI (Hybrid)Salary: $60,000 - $80,000A respected and growing law firm in the Detroit metropolitan area is seeking a Legal Assistant to support attorneys within its busy General Litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and collaborating with a team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and legal support to litigation attorneysManage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling mattersPrepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondenceCoordinate state and federal court filings, including e-filingSchedule depositions, hearings, meetings, and client appointmentsMaintain and organize electronic and physical case filesCommunicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third-party vendorsAssist with document production, discovery, and case management tasksMonitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of assignmentsSupport trial and hearing preparation as neededQualifications2+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably within a litigation practiceExperience supporting attorneys in a law firm environmentFamiliarity with court rules, legal procedures, and e-filing systemsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail and professionalismProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systemsAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentAdditional Information:Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
