Ward Law, LLC emphasizes attentive listening and pragmatic strategies to bring each matter to a beneficial resolution for clients.Role Description This full-time Legal Assistant role is based in Philadelphia, PA, with some flexibility for work from home after initial probationary period. The Legal Assistant will support attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, managing case files, and maintaining calendars and deadlines. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting correspondence, assisting with court filings, coordinating meetings and hearings, and communicating with clients, courts, and other parties in a professional manner. The role also involves handling general administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, billing support, and maintaining accurate records. The Legal Assistant will collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management and high-quality client service.QualificationsKnowledge of law and legal procedures, including familiarity with civil litigation or related practice areas.Skills in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing pleadings, motions, and correspondence.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, attorneys, courts, and external stakeholders.Administrative assistance capabilities, including scheduling, file management, data entry, and organization of case materials.Experience supporting attorneys as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar legal support role.Proficiency with legal practice management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems.High attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Preferred: 3+ years of prior experience in a law firm setting.Salary / BenefitsSalary commensurate with experience.Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k).
