Location: New York, NYSchedule: Hybrid (2 days per week on site)Compensation: $70,000-$100,000We are partnering with a global organization seeking a Legal Assistant or Senior Legal Assistant to join its New York-based legal team.This position will play a key role in supporting the company’s U.S. legal function, with a particular focus on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, corporate secretarial matters, legal operations, and administrative support.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with senior legal professionals and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, international environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative and operational support to senior legal leadership and the broader U.S. legal team.Manage complex calendars, travel arrangements, expenses, meeting logistics, and other day-to-day administrative needs.Coordinate meetings and workshops, including preparing agendas and presentations, taking minutes, and tracking follow-up items.Support corporate governance and corporate secretarial activities for U.S. entities, including maintaining corporate records, resolutions, meeting minutes, officer documentation, and required filings.Coordinate document execution, including signatures, notarizations, certifications, and corporate filings.Monitor corporate compliance requirements, regulatory correspondence, governance obligations, and filing deadlines.Assist with KYC, beneficial ownership requests, vendor onboarding, compliance questionnaires, and related due diligence.Maintain legal records, matter files, document repositories, and knowledge management resources.Support contract administration, including document routing, signature coordination, filing, retention, and tracking.Assist with document collection and records management related to litigation, investigations, audits, and regulatory requests.Maintain legal databases, operational systems, and reporting tools.Support trademark and intellectual property administration, including coordinating filings and tracking deadlines.Prepare presentations, reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other materials for legal and business stakeholders.Assist with legal operations, budgeting, invoice processing, and outside counsel administration.Coordinate legal training, knowledge-sharing, and team development initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency across the legal function.Serve as a professional point of contact for internal teams, outside counsel, vendors, and other external stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required.2+ years of relevant experience for the Legal Assistant level.4+ years of relevant experience for consideration at the Senior Legal Assistant level.Previous experience supporting a legal, compliance, corporate governance, executive, or professional services function.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.Experience with document management, corporate governance, workflow, or legal operations systems is preferred.Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.Strong professional judgment, integrity, and customer-service skills.
