We are a small corporate transactional and litigation law firm located in the financial district, one block from Montgomery Street BART station.REQUIREMENTSExcellent organizational skills, good problem-solving traits, team player, pleasant and good-humored, able to multitask, attentive to detail, and strong communication skillsCollege degree or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent2+ years law office experience preferred; familiarity with both corporate transactional work and general litigation practice a plusFamiliarity with California state and federal e-filing platforms and e-discovery platforms; PACER experience a plusExperience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and electronic calendaring programsRESPONSIBILITIESProvide general legal and administrative support to transactional, trademark, and litigation attorneysCreate and maintain Corporate Minute Books and Share Journals; assist with entity formation, name availability searches, and preparation of organizational documents; maintain corporate records; prepare foreign qualifications, withdrawals, and dissolutionsFile corporate documents with the Secretary of State and SEC, including Blue Sky and securities filingsHandle state and federal court filings (electronic and paper), and service of documents on parties and non-partiesMaintain electronic calendars of transactional deadlines and litigation case eventsConduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other databasesDraft, format, proofread, and redline transactional documents and basic discovery requests/responsesReview documents for responsiveness, relevance, and privilege; manage hard-copy and electronic discoveryMaintain transactional, trademark, and litigation case filesGeneral administrative support (correspondence, spreadsheets, copying/scanning, reception relief)Willingness to learn and assist with a variety of legal and administrative tasks as neededCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSCompensation: between $75,000 and $80,000, depending on experienceBenefits include Health Insurance, 401K, Profit Sharing Contributions to 401K, federal holidays and paid time offADDITIONALThis is a full-time and an in-office position; Monday-Friday, possible occasional overtime required (very rarely) evenings and/or weekendsSend resume and cover letter as a PDF document only
