Join an established litigation practice as Legal Associate, working directly alongside Partners and Senior Associates on complex civil and commercial disputes. This role is designed for an ambitious junior advocate seeking early file ownership, strong courtroom exposure, and mentorship from experienced litigators.Key ResponsibilitiesCourt Advocacy & Hearing PreparationAttend Case Conferences (CCs), Pre-Trial Conferences (PTCs), and interlocutory applications before the State Courts and the General Division of the High Court.Support lead counsel in trials, hearings, international arbitrations, and mediations (SMC/SIMC), including witness preparation and cross-examination strategies.Pleadings & Legal DraftingDraft Letters of Demand, initial pleadings, affidavits, summonses, and written submissions under Partner supervision.Manage eLitigation filings and oversee the compilation of core trial bundles and court documentation.Legal Research & Risk AssessmentConduct targeted legal research on statutory interpretations, common law precedents, and procedural issues under the Rules of Court 2021.Draft initial legal opinions, dispute risk assessments, and strategic advice for senior review.Client & File ManagementAct as a primary contact for client updates, managing case timelines, trial schedules, and procedural deadlines.Requirements & QualificationsAdmissions: Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore (Practice Trainees awaiting formal call are welcome).Experience: 0–2 years PQE in civil/commercial litigation in a Singapore law firm.Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with eLitigation, LawNet, and standard litigation practice software.Competencies: Strong legal research, persuasive written advocacy, acute attention to detail, and the composure to manage competing deadlines.Why Apply?Clear progression pathway to independent file handling and advocacy.Direct mentorship from Partners on high-stakes commercial matters.Competitive fixed salary with performance-linked upside.
