The role offers an opportunity to work across multiple practice areas and gain hands-on exposure to both transactional and contentious matters.About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate with 1- 3 years of experience to join our legal team. The role will involve a combination of commercial contracts, intellectual property prosecution, and commercial litigation support.The ideal candidate should have strong drafting and research skills, attention to detail, and an interest in developing a broad-based legal practice across transactional and contentious matters.Key Responsibilities1. Contracts - Drafting & ReviewDraft, review, negotiate and assist in finalising a variety of commercial agreements.Review contracts from legal, commercial and risk perspectives and identify key issues.Assist in preparing contractual comments, mark-ups and issue summaries.Conduct legal research relating to contractual and commercial matters.2. Trademark - Filing & ProsecutionHandle trademark searches, applications, examination reports, oppositions and related prosecution matters.Prepare and file trademark applications and other documents before the Indian Trade Marks Registry.Assist with hearings, responses, evidence and procedural requirements.Maintain and monitor IP portfolios, deadlines and prosecution status.3. Designs - Filing & ProsecutionAssist with preparation and filing of design applications.Handle procedural and prosecution-related matters before the Designs Wing of the Indian Patent Office.Conduct design-related searches and assist with responding to objections and examination requirements.4. CopyrightAssist in preparing and filing copyright registration applications.Handle correspondence and procedural requirements relating to copyright registrations.Conduct basic legal research on copyright-related issues.5. Commercial Litigation SupportAssist in commercial disputes and litigation matters, including legal research, drafting pleadings, applications, notices and other legal documents.Assist with preparation of case briefs, chronologies, evidence and supporting documentation.Coordinate with counsel and assist in managing litigation-related filings, hearings and deadlines.Candidate ProfileLL.B. / B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B. from a recognised university.1- 3 years of relevant experience in a law firm, legal services organisation or in-house legal team.Prior experience in commercial contracts and/or IP prosecution will be preferred.Familiarity with Indian trademark, design and copyright laws and procedures.Good legal drafting, research and analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to independently manage assignments and meet deadlines.Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.Candidates who have exposure to both transactional and contentious work will be preferred.What We OfferOpportunity to work across commercial contracts, IP and litigation.Exposure to a diverse range of domestic and international clients and matters.Opportunity to develop strong drafting, advisory, prosecution and dispute-resolution skills.A collaborative and learning-oriented professional environment.
