The organization plays a significant role in the region’s consumer and food production sectors, with a strong market presence and a continued focus on growth and expansion across multiple markets.Your new roleThe company is seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Legal Counsel to join its in‑house legal team. The role is responsible for protecting the organization’s legal interests, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and providing legal support across a broad range of matters including contracts, employment law, intellectual property, litigation, and regulatory compliance. The Legal Counsel will also contribute to minimizing legal risk and ensuring the business operates within a robust legal framework.Your DutiesReview, negotiate, and draft a wide range of legal documents including contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization’s legal and commercial interests.Collaborate with internal stakeholders during negotiations with external partners to ensure alignment on legal terms and risk mitigation.Provide legal advice and support to the organization, under the guidance of the General Counsel, across employment law, IP, litigation, and regulatory matters.Conduct legal research, analyse issues, and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders and the GC.Assist in resolving disputes through mediation, settlement discussions, or litigation support.Advise on compliance with local and international laws by conducting risk assessments and developing compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.Serve as the primary point of contact for coordination with external counsel, under the guidance of the GC.Support the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures in collaboration with HR, Finance, and other key departments.Deliver training sessions to enhance company‑wide awareness of legal obligations and compliance requirements.Respond to claims following alignment with the GC.Undertake special projects and ad‑hoc assignments as directed by the GC.What You’ll Need to SucceedMinimum of 5 years' legal experience, gained either at a top-tier law firm or within the legal department of a publicly listed company.Law degree from a reputable institution, supported by strong academic credentials and a valid licence to practise law.Fluent Arabic speaker is essential; prior experience within the FMCG sector would be highly advantageous.Middle East experience is required, with a strong understanding of regional laws, regulations, and legal frameworks.Demonstrated expertise in managing complex legal matters across commercial, corporate, intellectual property, product liability, employment, and international trade/competition law.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.What you'll get in returnTax free salary + company benefits
