Legal Counsel

A technology company is looking for a lawyer to join its in-house legal team.Your new roleDraft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including those relating to product development, intellectual property licencing, marketing and other business initiativesProvide legal advice, regulatory guidance and risk assessments on operational and business-related mattersMonitor and analyse legal and regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions, assessing their impact on business operationsDevelop, implement and maintain internal policies, procedures and compliance guidelines, driving continuous improvement where necessaryConduct legal risk assessments and advise on changes to laws, regulations and industry standardsDeliver legal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to internal stakeholders on key legal and compliance topicsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide practical and commercially focused legal supportWhat you'll need to succeedJuris Doctor (JD), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification from a reputable universityQualification in a common law jurisdiction is advantageous but not essentialMore than 2 years of relevant post-qualification or legal experienceFluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency is highly preferredDemonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience working within multinational organisations or cross-border, multicultural environmentsCommercially minded with sound judgment and a proactive, solutions-oriented approachWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' or for further information and a confidential discussion on this role or to find out about more opportunities in the in-house legal space, please contact Kyra Li at Hays on +852 2230 7425 or email kyra.li@hays.com.hk.
