Legal Counsel | KasselOur client is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its in-house legal team as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, business units and group companies. The position combines day-to-day advisory work with a hands-on role in strategic projects, all within a financial institution operating in a heavily regulated environment.The role:Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of agreements, and act as the go-to contact for legal queries from client-facing teams.Advise the board, internal functions and group entities on commercial, corporate and banking law matters.Act as legal lead on strategic initiatives, projects and organisational change, turning legal analysis into workable recommendations.Track legislative and case law developments, evaluate their relevance to the business and propose appropriate responses.Help internal teams implement regulatory requirements correctly, and deliver training that makes legal obligations easy to understand.Oversee litigation and pre-litigation matters, instructing and coordinating external counsel and auditors.Prepare internal reporting, including on customer complaints, and contribute to responses to regulator enquiries.What you'll need:Solid expertise in banking, corporate and contract law, ideally complemented by exposure to financial regulatory law.A German law degree with both state examinations.Several years of professional experience gained at a bank or financial services provider, in consulting, or in a corporate environment.Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to resolving legal questions.An independent, organised working style and the ability to keep a clear view of complex matters.Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to engage stakeholders at every level, explaining complex issues in plain terms.A collaborative, service-minded approach and a high level of personal integrity.How to apply?Interested?
