Working closely with the Group Legal & Compliance team, this role will provide legal support across corporate governance, contract management, and regulatory compliance activities within France.This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking to join a highly international business operating at the forefront of the energy transition.Reporting into the wider Legal & Compliance function, you will support governance activities across European entities, provide legal advice on commercial agreements, ensure compliance with French and EU regulations, and help mitigate legal and commercial risks across the business.You will work closely with operational teams, finance, procurement, senior stakeholders, government authorities, and external legal advisers to support business-critical decision-making and ongoing growth initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport corporate governance activities across European and French entitiesMaintain corporate records, board resolutions, shareholder documentation, and regulatory filingsEnsure compliance with French corporate legislation and relevant EU regulationsAssist with governance audits, reviews, and compliance monitoring activitiesReview, draft, negotiate, and manage a range of commercial agreements including service agreements, supplier contracts, and NDAsSupport the full contract lifecycle from drafting through to execution and ongoing complianceProvide legal guidance on contractual matters and assist with dispute resolution where requiredConduct legal risk assessments and provide practical solutions to mitigate exposureMonitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the businessSupport the implementation of legal and compliance best practices across the organisationWork closely with internal teams including Finance, Procurement, and OperationsLiaise with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and business partnersBuild and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to support business objectives.Ideal Candidate ProfileBachelor's or Master's Degree in Law, ideally with a focus on Corporate or Commercial LawApproximately 4-8 years of legal experience within a corporate, commercial, or governance focused environmentStrong understanding of French corporate governance requirements and regulatory frameworksExperience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contractsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsPrevious experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, or other regulated sectors would be advantageousFluent French and English, both written and spoken Next StepsIf you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply with an up-to-date CV.Following an initial review, suitable candidates will be contacted to discuss their experience, motivations, and suitability for the role in more detail.The interview process will consist of:Stage 1: Initial interview via Microsoft TeamsStage 2: Final interview with senior leadershipPlease note that only candidates with the right to work in France and the required French and English language proficiency will be considered.For a confidential discussion regarding the role, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
