Legal Counsel – Crypto, Fintech & International Regulatory

We are seeking a senior international lawyer to take ownership of the legal function for a fast-moving consulting and administration business supporting global crypto, fintech and software businesses.This is a genuinely hands-on role for a lawyer who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, regulation, product and international corporate structuring.You will work directly with founders, product and engineering teams, advising on products and features before they launch and providing practical, commercially minded solutions across multiple jurisdictions.Key responsibilities:Advise on complex cross-border regulatory and product issues across the US, UK, EU, Australia, BVI and CaymanDraft and negotiate commercial, corporate, technology and platform agreementsConduct feature-level regulatory and risk assessments for crypto/fintech productsAdvise on AML/KYC, sanctions, licensing, geo-restrictions and consumer protectionLead international corporate structuring and entity governanceManage external counsel on cross-border disputes and litigationSupport IP, commercial negotiations and corporate housekeepingBuild and develop the legal and compliance framework from the ground upWe are looking for:Strong international legal experienceStrong cross-border regulatory experienceGenuine crypto, fintech and/or blockchain experienceStrong understanding of how blockchain products and digital assets operateExperience with areas such as token launches, exchanges, launchpads, payments or Web3Proven experience managing international disputes through external counselStrong corporate structuring experienceComfortable operating autonomously in a startup/entrepreneurial environmentAble to make clear, commercially practical decisions where the law is evolving or uncertainFast-moving, pragmatic and comfortable advising senior stakeholders directlyHighly desirable: multi-jurisdictional qualification, UAE/BVI/Cayman experience, previous in-house experience within a crypto exchange, fintech or payments business, and exposure to US regulators or litigation.This role will suit a lawyer who wants ownership, autonomy and genuinely complex international work — not someone looking for a traditional legal department environment.
